Queen 'asks Meghan Markle mother Doria to Christmas at Sandringham'

The invitation would break the royal standard guide which has been followed for ages now.

We are talking about Meghan Markle's mother, Doria Ragland.

Very happy with the idea of becoming a dad for the first time, prince Harry recently shared a gorgeous photo of Meghan Markle and her baby bump on the social networks.

Doria supported Meghan through the highs and lows of her wedding.

Although this particular dinner at the Norfolk estate is an annual event, many royal insiders note the significance of the "thoughtful gesture" - Her Majesty has never extended an offer like this before, not even to Prince William's in-laws, the Middletons.

Meghan's mom came to London to support the launch of her charity cookbook.

The Duchess of Cambridge's family has joined the royals at church on Christmas morning but they have stayed at nearby Anmer Hall rather than Sandringham itself.

According to the Daily Mail report, Meghan Markle's mother Doria Ragland will be the first person to have received the invite apart from the Royals to spend the holiday there. Meghan Markle rocked an electric blue ensemble from her wedding dress designer Givenchy - but what most style spotters failed to notice was that the fabulous pleated skirt that she combined with the matching sweater was see-through!

The Queen is said to have asked Doria, 62, to join them for the family's first Christmas since Harry and Meghan's wedding as a "mark of her respect" for the Duchess.

The 74-year-old former lighting director has courted controversy over multiple interviews he has given over Meghan and the royals.

Mr Markle was due to walk his daughter down the aisle but pulled out at the last minute after it emerged he had staged paparazzi pictures in the days prior to it.

In July, he told The Sun On Sunday how he believed his daughter was masking the pressure of being part of "The Firm".
