A new trailer for "Super Smash Bros".
Entitled "World of Light", it sees a mysterious force causing numerous video game characters to lose their bodies and transform into Spirits.
Ken will be acting as an echo fighter for Ryu and Incineroar will be his own character with a boatload of wrestling moves in his arsenal. An example of fighting against these is Fire Emblem's Owain being shown as a Spirit, which gives increased power to melee weapons, but also makes the enemy taunt a lot, like the character's personality.
Speaking of Mii Fighters, they get a bunch of new outfits including Yiga Clan, Splatoon 2, Ribbon Girl, Chibi-Robo, Ray Mk III, and Toy-Con.
One of the major revelations from the Direct was that there are no trophies in the game, unlike all the previous Smash Bros.
However, that's not all they have planned with characters. The game supports a variety of controller options, including Nintendo GameCube controllers (original or newly designed), Joy-Con controllers or the Nintendo Switch Pro Controller. In order to acquire new Spirits, players will fighter others. The Nintendo Online phone app will allow for voice chat, and a new app called Smash World will launch sometime after the game, which will focus on players sharing fun gameplay moments. None of these will be Echo Fighters.
Surprising no-one Nintendo confirmed that there'll be multiple sets of DLC which will include one fighter, level and music track, at a cost of £5.39/€5.99 per pack. Interestingly enough, the Big N is also offering players the chance to get a special character as free DLC for buying the title within a certain span of time.
And of course, there was a spot for a Piranha Plant and Waluigi mention, just because.
