The former president has been touring the U.S.in recent weeks to marshal blue votes in local and state elections, most recently holding a rally in Milwaukee, where he slammed the GOP and the Trump administration over immigration and healthcare.
Monday, it was announced that Obama is scheduled to stump with Florida's two top-of-ticket candidates, Gillum and U.S. Sen.
The official said with 11 rallies remaining, Trump will have a total of 30 campaign events since Labor Day.
On Wednesday, Trump will campaign for Republican candidates in Fort Myers, Florida and the next day he will head to Missouri.
An Obama appearance somewhere in Florida with Gillum seemed likely, as the former president has been rallying Democrats in the Midwest. He visited OH earlier this month to promote Republican gubernatorial candidate Mike DeWine, U.S. Senate candidate Jim Renacci, and congressman Steve Chabot.
"Barack Obama has been my friend since I first introduced him to Florida in 2005, when he was a rising political star", Nelson said in a press release. Of course, blue wins in the upcoming election would allow Democrats to remain competitive in OH, and potentially change the direction of Ohio's electoral power in 2020.
A White House schedule shows President Trump will be making trips to Florida, Montana, Tennessee, Georgia, Ohio, and IN before the November 6 election. The midterms are also often seen as a referendum on the president's performance.
