Apple's big tagline for the event is "There's More in the Making", suggesting a focus on creation is in the cards.
Apple today sent invitations for an October 30 event that will likely include the launch of new iPads and Macs. This should be considered a near-term catalyst for unit growth and confidence in management to hit the Street's financial targets has increased.
What to expect Based on several recent rumours and leaks, Apple is supposed to bring the upgraded version of the iPad Pro models. The stock is up 25 percent year-to-date.
Other possible announcements include updates to the Mac line, with perhaps a revamped MacBook Air, and a Mac Mini A new Apple Pencil, and an appearance of Apple's wireless charging pad, the AirPower, are also products we might see. This year's iPad Pro ditch the home button for Apple's Face ID and larger screens. iPad Pro now comes in two sizes: 10.5-inch and 12.9-inch. Back in June 2017, the 10.5-inch iPad Pro got introduced, and Apple has been pretty mum on its tablet family, which is already seemingly partaking in a one-horse race on yet another market that Apple is domineering.
Apple announced the event by sending out uniquely designed versions of the iconic logo that adorns the company's products. In the same way, the Touch ID will be replaced with the Face ID, embedded in the front of the iPad.
The official Apple website dedicated to events with the details of the incoming presentation has also been updated.
The page simply says "Apple Special Event" followed by "Live from Brooklyn".
The Mac mini has gone even longer with an update - now over four years.
