Machado had 37 homers and 107 RBIs in the regular season, and he batted.242 in the first eight games of the postseason. The amount of the fine has not been announced.

The incident occurred in the bottom of the 10th inning after Machado grounded out.

Aguilar wasn't happy about that.

Major League Baseball fined Machado an undisclosed amount Wednesday, a day after the baserunning incident caused the benches to clear at Dodger Stadium and prompted Brewers MVP candidate Christian Yelich to call Machado a "dirty player". Order was quickly restored after the benches emptied, but the biggest haymakers were delivered afterward in the Brewers clubhouse.

It appeared that Machado dragged his foot so that it would hit Aguilar's at first base.

That wasn't enough to satisfy some members of the Brewers.

After the game, Brewers star Christian Yelich called Machado's antics a "dirty play from a dirty player" who has "a history of those types of incidents".

Brewers manager Brewers manager Craig Counsell also got his two cents in about Machado's play.

Aguilar declined to comment on Yelich's statements after the game and urged everyone to move on. Repeated over and over and over again, you're just a dirty player. If that's dirty, that's dirty. I don't know what his problem is, honestly.

As for the drama Machado's been entangled in throughout the series. we asked if the beanball he took Wednesday will end the drama.

After he got two hits in Game 3, Machado's frustration at the plate also probably played a role in his mood in Game 4.

Machado, who scored the winning run in the 13th inning of the Dodgers' 2-1 victory, told reporters after the game: "If that's dirty, that's dirty".

The Los Angeles Dodgers won a thrilling Game 4 of the NLCS with a walk-off single in the 13th inning to even the series, 2-2, but it was a routine groundout in the tenth inning that most people were talking about after the game. That's two more opportunities for the fireworks to continue between Machado and the Brewers.

It's nice to see that the fanbases can make light of what was obviously an upsetting moment, but Machado's actions appeared to be fairly blatant.
