Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson Call Off Engagement

The couple's split comes at a hard time for Grande, who's been dealing with the loss of ex-boyfriend Mac Miller, who died from an apparent drug overdose on September 7.

TMZ reports that sources close to the couple have confirmed they split up this weekend because the timing of their relationship was "simply not" right.

It's all over for Ariana Grande & Pete Davidson.

Ariana and Pete announced their surprise engagement earlier this year in May - just a few weeks after they were reported to be just casually dating.

A source close to the singer told RadarOnline.com today: "Ariana needs to take a minute away from the spotlight and just be alone to figure out who she is". They also got matching tattoos and a pet pig-all in the span of five months.

As previously reported, The "Saturday Night Live" star was the first to confirm that he was engaged to the "God is a Woman" singer after dropping almost $100,000 on a ring.

Unfortunately for fans, Ariana Grande has canceled yet another performance as she takes a brief hiatus to deal with the passing of her late ex-boyfriend, Mac Miller.

As for Davidson, he's continued to appear on SNL, even mentioning his former fiancee in a couple sketches.

The pair was never shy about sharing affection for one another publicly, especially on social media. And Grande told British Vogue in May that she was still suffering from post-traumatic stress syndrome stemming from the suicide bombing that killed 22 people at her 2017 concert in Manchester, United Kingdom.
