Perhaps to some this makes up for the delay of the album originally announced in 2012, a year after "Tha Carter IV" dropped.

Lil Wayne stans are about to have an exciting weekend as the 36-year old rapper has finally released his highly anticipated Tha Carter V album.

"With this album, I'm giving you more than me", Wayne told his fans in a video posted to his YouTube channel earlier this week.

Other fans tweeted that Wayne has managed to put out the album of the year over peers like Kanye West, J. Cole, and his own Young Money protegés Nicki Minaj and Drake. Also, back in 2014 when "Tha Carter V" was slated for release, Wayne and Drizzy dropped "Believe Me", meant to be the first single of the album at the time. Check out the album artwork and tracklist below. And plus, I'm on dat bihh love you so much! "But our kids can't all aspire to be LeBron or Lil Wayne!".

Custom Bumbu cocktails were flowing all night as special guests arrived to wish Wayne a very happy birthday. But none of them had the lyrical bite, rhythmic rumble and sonic tautness of Wayne's "Tha Carter" series.
