The Women Who Have Accused Brett Kavanaugh

Trump hits ‘con job’ on Kavanaugh before showdown hearing

What Thursday's hearing with Kavanaugh and Ford will look like

Kavanaugh, who is defending himself against allegations from two women who accuse him of sexual misconduct in the 1980s, sat for an interview on Fox News on Monday, an unusual move for a nominee to the high court.

The calendars were submitted by Kavanaugh's lawyers as evidence as he prepares to testify Thursday in response to allegations from Christine Blasey Ford, a woman who says he sexually assaulted her when they were both teenagers and when he was drunk. "I know friends that have had false charges".

Senate Democratic leader Chuck Schumer called on Kavanaugh to withdraw in light of the allegations, and said if he does not, an FBI investigation is needed before any Senate vote on confirmation.

Grassley, an Iowa Republican, was asked Wednesday during a weekly teleconference call with Iowa reporters whether he was considering pulling the plug on Kavanaugh's nomination in the wake of continued accusations of sexual assault. But after six days of assessing her memories and consulting her attorney, Ramirez said she was confident about the allegations she levied against Kavanaugh. "When I see it, I view it differently than someone sitting home watching television where they say, 'Oh, Judge Kavanaugh this and that'".

Swetnick said she witnessed efforts by Kavanaugh, his friend Mark Judge and others "to cause girls to become inebriated and disoriented so they could then be "gang raped" in a side room or bedroom by a "train" of numerous boys".

Trump praised Kavanaugh anew at a news conference Wednesday, but in answer to a question he said he could consider changing his mind on the nomination if testimony by Kavanaugh-accuser Christine Blasey Ford is totally convincing.

In Swetnick's statement, she said she met Kavanaugh and Judge in the early 1980s at a house party.

"Right after I broke up with her, she was threatening my family, threatening my wife and threatening to do harm to my baby at that time".

Mr Kavanaugh was handpicked by Donald Trump for the lifelong post on the Supreme Court, and has continued to enjoy the U.S. president's steadfast support despite the allegations against him.

As far as it goes, Brett Kavanaugh is going for a seat where he's going to have that seat on the Supreme Court for the rest of his life.

"When you are guilty until proven innocent it's just not supposed to be that way", he said.

Kavanaugh, she claims, exhibited a pattern of "abusive and physically aggressive behavior toward girls", and she names "Beach Week" in Ocean City, Maryland as one of these occasions where she witnessed such behavior.

In her declaration, Swetnick recounts an alleged incident in approximately 1982 in which she says she was the victim of a "gang rape" at which Kavanaugh was present. Kavanaugh rejected the latest claim Wednesday as "ridiculous and from the Twilight Zone". Avenatti also represents porn star Stormy Daniels in her lawsuits against Trump.

Gonzalez said she thinks the actions of the Republican party is disrespectful to women.

In testimony prepared for tomorrow's Senate hearing, Mr Kavanaugh decried sexual allegations against him as "last-minute smears" and denied that he had ever sexually assaulted anyone.

She does not say Kavanaugh participated in the alleged rape or what, if any, role he played, nor does she say where the alleged episode took place.

The republicans, who are only men in the house judiciary committee, have made a decision to delegate the interrogation to a prosecutor specializing in cases of sexual violence, Rachel Mitchell, and came from Arizona.
