Overnight, any remaining scattered showers will diminish into mostly cloudy skies with a low of 70.
Tuesday morning will start with lows in the 50s and 60s. Afternoon temperatures will be in the upper 60s. Temperatures will warm into the work week before this frontal system moves in bringing scattered showers and storms.
The risk of rain drops to 30 per cent Saturday with a high of 16 C and low of 4 C.
"Temperatures will be warmer than we saw on Monday, but still fairly cool given the cloud cover", forecasters said.
Forecasters said the steady rain "should wind down" later Tuesday, but the precipitation won't end there. I have chances at 40% for the area and partly cloudy skies. This action will be coming at us from southwest to northeast and is ahead of a strong cold front. More widespread showers are possible with high temperatures in the upper 70s to low 80s.
As bad as that may sound, forecasters said Wednesday shouldn't be a complete washout, as we could see "many hours of dry weather and possibly a few breaks of sunshine", forecasters said.
