"I did break. I was a scared little boy".
The new CBB champion has finally been reunited with girlfriend Lucy after she had to sit at home and watch him suffering through Roxanne Pallett's accusations.
Lucy had drummed up support for Ryan throughout his run on CBB, encouraging fans to vote for him and leaping to his defence after the Roxanne Pallett controversy.
Ryan was then shown a clip from Roxanne's interview on the same show from when she first left the house, which included a public apology to the former 'Coronation Street' actor and his loved ones.
He said: "Forgiveness is a big thing and this place is a terrible place if you get it wrong and I personally don't want to be a part of that".
He took a deep breath as he fought back the tears over seeing the emotional footage.
"And it's daunting to be honest because what be experienced in the house will now become a reality".
When asked if he is prepared to forgive her, he said: 'I think Roxanne has been through a lot. Big Brother makes headlines and sometimes for the wrong reasons.
'As long as she now gets the help she needs then I think it's time we all draw a line under it.
However, Dan declined to go into further detail, telling The Sun: "I don't really want to talk about it".
'I don't want to think of the experience in a negative way.
Lucy has been strongly fighting Ryan's corner on the outside world in the wake of Roxanne's allegations that he "punched her", taking part in her own TV interview where she denounced Roxanne for lying.
But Roxanne, 35, kicked up a fuss about the incident, eventually removing herself from the house after claiming she couldn't be in the house any more.
