Nintendo Direct Rescheduled, Switch Online Launches September 18

Memberships for Nintendo Switch Online begin on September 18, 2018, and users will be able to test out the service with a 7-day free trial via the Nintendo eShop.

NINTENDO HAS CONFIRMED that its long-awaited Switch Online service is arriving next week. Previously, playing online was free, but once Switch Online debuts, everyone will need to pay to play online. 3, The Legend of Zelda and Dr. Mario, with newly-added online multiplayer, with Nintendo promising that 20 NES games will be available at launch. Nintendo announced on Wednesday that Nintendo Switch Online memberships will kick off on September 18th, which is less than a week away. Perhaps most immediately useful at launch, though, is its promise of allowing cloud saves for any games players have in progress.

Nintendo has announced their Switch Online memberships will launch in Canada, the United States of America and beyond on September 18, 2018. You can save a few bucks by opting for a three-month membership for $7.99 or a 12-month subscription for $19.99. A family plan serving up to eight Nintendo accounts will be priced at $34.99/€34.99 for twelve months. It will last approximately 35 minutes, and will feature information about upcoming 3DS and Switch titles.
