The England global came off the bench for the final 22 minutes in Chelsea's 3-0 opening day win over Huddersfield but was not included in their squad for the victory against Arsenal last weekend.
"Mateo and Eden played very well in the last 30 minutes [against Arsenal] but I think also that in that moment the intensity of the match was going down", Sarri added. It's up to him [whether or not he is happy to stay], I think.
England midfielder Loftus-Cheek was left out of the squad against Arsenal last weekend, but Sarri will keep him at Stamford Bridge at least until the next transfer window opens.
The 27-year-old has been repeatedly linked with Real Madrid, who can still sign players until the transfer window in Spain closes next week. I am very happy.
Explaining his decision, Sarri said: 'I chose to put on the bench two wingers.
The prospect of Chelsea playing this kind of football, especially after the dross we endured under Antonio Conte last season, was incredibly exciting - and we haven't been disappointed.
"All the speculation, I never said anything, I just kept my head down, playing football and I feel like it's the right thing to do".
Considering we caused a well drilled Tottenham outfit some problems, we should be well capable of exploiting vulnerabilities in a team who are very much a work in progress. "I think Loftus will remain with us, we can speak again about his situation, but I think only in December".
Chelsea new manager Maurizio Sarri has left the England global out of his squad for the two Premier League games played so far this season.
"I am not able to play with five defenders, because we are trying to defend by looking only at the ball".
