Guardiola Boasts: We Attacked Huddersfield With 10 Players

Manchester City Star Kevin De Bruyne To Miss Three Months With Knee Injury

Could De Bruyne injury have quick Silva lining for City?

Sergio Agüero scored a hat trick that helped Man City get their second win in as many games this season.

But one thing is for sure, the defending champions have picked up from where they had left off last season and this performance reflects their ambition of maintaining their dominance in English football this season despite losing Kevin de Bruyne for 3 months.

Manchester City midfielder David Silva made his 250th Premier League appearance for the Citizens when he started their home game against Huddersfield Town, but his on-field exploits are likely to be overshadowed by the presence of his son Mateo.

By then City were 3-1 up although it could have been far more. A miserable afternoon at Etihad Stadium for Huddersfield was wrapped up by Terence Kongolo's 84th-minute own-goal.

"He scored an unbelievable goal for him".

Ederson, Guardiola's ball-playing goalkeeper, struck a magnificent pass over 60 yards, isolating Aguero against defender Christopher Schindler.

City had 14 shots on target during the 90 minutes, and hat-trick hero Aguero had four of those, and it was to be Aguero's ninth Premier League hat-trick, and he is now only two behind Alan Shearer, who holds the record on 11. The only blip was Jon Stankovic's strike from a long throw.

Late on City searched for a fifth and it arrived as Aguero flicked home Mendy's cross to complete his hat trick and Sane's effort deflected in to make it 6-1.

Guardiola said: "He trained the last two or three training sessions".

It is understood City bosses have not been approached by Spurs about the problem and have had no dialogue.

The Amazon production attacked Mourinho and his United tactics as it covered City's title triumph last season. Aguero's haul against Huddersfield took him to 146 goals in 208 games - a seriously impressive return of 0.7 goals per game.

A player of De Bruyne's quality will be missed, but City are well-placed to deal without him for now.

The match will air on Sky Sports Premier League. "We try to care for them as best as possible but you never know". Next up for the Terriers is Cardiff, and Wagner will be looking for a morale-boosting result ahead of the winnable tie against the newly promoted side.

Mourinho has again hit out at the Premier League champions, expressing his displeasure at a show he sees as disrespectful.
