Man Utd transfer news Jose Mourinho and Ed Woodward are at loggerheads

Today's transfer rater features the likes of Jerome Boateng, Jordan Pickford and Petr Cech, and Brian McBride is here to break it all down.

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has revealed Marcus Rashford has had his eye on wearing the No.10 shirt for the club for some time.

Arsenal are prepared to rival Manchester United for the signing of Bayern Munich defender Jerome Boateng, according to a report in Germany.

Speaking before United's 1-0 defeat to Bayern on Sunday night, the United manager admitted his concern for the coming campaign if his squad is not bolstered before the Premier League kicks off with Leicester's visit to Old Trafford on Friday.

Mourinho started off by claiming that our CEO knows what we want and that the club still has a few days to see how things pan out.

"The other clubs who compete with us are really strong and already have fantastic teams".

The Mirror reported over the weekend that United are ready to approach Chelsea to offer them a swap deal involving Martial and Willian as Mourinho is prepared to trade the unsettled French global to sign one of his long-term targets.

Manchester United have been left frustrated in their pursuit of a centre-half after struggling to get deals for Harry Maguire, Yerry Mina and Toby Alderweireld over the line. "We have a good relationship, we are friends", he said.

Bayern Munich have put a €50m (£44.5m) price tag on Boateng, who is also wanted by Paris Saint-Germain.

United have opened talks with Bayern, who want £45million for the 29-year-old, but the Red Devils are keen to negotiate that fee in a bid to bring it closer to the £40m mark.
