Demi Lovato 'getting better' after reported overdose

Demi was hospitalized on July 24 after suffering an alleged overdose inside her Los Angeles home.

We're all wishing Demi Lovato a speedy recovery from her reported overdose, but apparently there are complications keeping her in the hospital.

The actor was said to be "shocked" after learning about his former flame's apparent overdose and appeared sombre while at the hospital visiting her. "He seems very concerned about her".

There is no word on when Lovato will be discharged from Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, but she is still expected to recover.

'The overdose has been a wakeup call to Demi that she needs to get more serious about her sobriety and is telling friends and family she will do everything it takes to get back to the wonderful place she was in before she slipped'. The doctors overseeing Demi's recovery have not decided when she'll be released from the hospital, but the news isn't all bad. "Like all of you, I have nothing but love in my heart for her".

In 2013, Lovato entered a sober living facility where she received assistance for drug and alcohol addiction as well as her battle against an eating disorder and bipolar disorder. "I was not with Demi when the incident happened, but I am with her now, and will continue to be because she means the world to me just as she does to all of you".

"He was not aware that her issues were this severe and intense at this time", the source said.

Lovato reportedly had to be revived with Narcan - a common treatment for an opioid overdose - when paramedics arrived to the scene last week. Just good people around her, and a willingness to want to live a different way if that's what she wants to do.
