According to some news articles, the 22-year-old had just wrapped up the shooting of a music video at around 4 A.M. today, and upon returning home, he got kidnapped in his own driveway.
That's when three hooded gunmen pistol-whipped Tekashi, knocking him unconscious.
Authorities say he stated he had been the passenger in a auto that was bumped by another vehicle around 4:30 a.m.in Brooklyn and the two men got out and forced him into their auto.
The rapper's baby mama and his daughter were inside the house but they were not hurt in the incident.
The rapper known as Tekashi69 says two men forced him from a vehicle at an intersection and robbed him of jewelry.
We're told the gunmen took around $750k in jewelry and between $15k and $20k in cash.
At some point, the performer saw no other solution but to jump out of the vehicle and while one of the kidnappers tried to chase after him, he quickly realized he might be spotted and chose to let him go. We're told the gunmen then drove away with Tekashi still in the back seat. One of the gunmen started to chase him but stopped because he was afraid he would later be recognized.
Tekashi is then said to have flagged down a passing driver, getting into the passenger's seat and begging them to call 911.
The rapper received help from local authorities and was taken to a hospital by ambulance where tests are being run.
Police say the rapper says the men forced him to call another man to bring him some personal property, which he did.
