Dancing queen! Cher will bless the world with an ABBA cover album

Amanda Seyfried

SGSeyfried teams up with Christine Baranski and Julie Walters

Here We Go Again is released on 20 July, and has been touted by lead actor Amanda Seyfried as a "better" movie with "more heart".

Are you looking forward to seeing the Mamma Mia sequel?

Christine Baranski, Judy Craymer, Cher, Jessica Keenan Wynn, Alexa Davies, Meryl Streep, Amanda Seyfried and Lily James attending the premiere of Mamma Mia!

It will be Cher's first full album since 2013's Closer to the Truth, which spawned singles "Woman's World" and "I Hope You Find It".

The new film is a prequel to the original and pivots on daughter Sophie, played by Seyfried, who returns to the Greek island of the original, where her mother Donna runs a hotel, to announce that she's pregnant.

Cher said that her creative spirit was rekindled after singing one of the signature tunes on "Mamma Mia!". Another commented: "Meryl and Cher officially broke the Internet".

Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again lays all of its Abba love on us with platform heels, tongue-in-cheek humour and joy-infused musical performances choreographed to perfection by Anthony Van Laast.

Last week on Twitter a fan asked the "Believe" singer about the photo shoot for the cover of the new album, and Cher replied explaining how she was in hair and makeup for two hours, and the "boys make me prettier than I am".

"I don't know what I was expecting but I walked onto the set and I just thought everyone's just having fun", Cher said.

"I think he has the same kind of issues that I would have if we were hanging out with his ex-girlfriend from long ago", Seyfried told The Mirror.

But if they decide to go for a third, I'd suggest sticking with Lily playing young Donna and Cher - just Cher.
