Many customers who visited Amazon's website and app right around 3 p.m. ET when the deals began were met with disappointment, but some very good dogs.

"Our fulfillment centers are buzzing with energy and humming with activity", Andre Woodson Amazon spokesperson said.

The company's fourth Prime Day is set to stretch for 36 hours and includes deals across its site, as well as at its grocery-store chain Whole Foods.

According to CNBC, Coresight Research is estimating Prime Day 2018 sales should reach at minimum $3.4 billion globally, breaking another record.

The Amazon Prime Day deals just keep on coming - and there's still another 24 hours of online bargains to come.

Amazon workers in Europe walked off their jobs on Monday, even as orders flooded in for the e-tailer's annual Prime Day sale.
