King Kylie! Forbes says Jenner is set to be youngest self-made billionaire

Kylie Jenner set to become the youngest self-made billionaire on Forbes list

Kylie Jenner is set to become the youngest-ever billionaire at 21

Thanks to this minuscule overhead and marketing costs, Forbes writes, the profits are outsize and go directly to Jenner.

Forbes conservatively valued her company at $800 million and raised her overall worth to $900 million by throwing in earnings from television programs, endorsements and after-tax dividends. I'll let that sink in for a moment.

"Some filler migrated above my lip and I didn't look like my normal self. That's her thing. She loves a little bit of makeup".

Forbes released its fourth annual list of the richest self-made women in the US on Thursday, singling out Kylie Jenner for recognition on the magazine's cover. She launched it two years ago with a $29 lip kit containing a lipstick and lip liner.

Kylie Jenner might be known to some as Kim Kardashian West's younger sister, but the social media star and cosmetics mogul's net worth is more than twice that of her sister's.

However, Forbes noted that Kylie Cosmetics' growth has started to taper.

Since then, the company has sold $630m of makeup, helped in a large part by Jenner's own social media presence.

And that isn't the only revenue stream for the 20-year-old. Mark Zuckerberg, the current record holder, was worth $1bn at the age of 23.

They are only available online via her website but luckily Kylie has a UK Kylie Cosmetics website set up which converts her product prices to pounds, rather than dollars, on checkout. "I don't want to do it with anyone else", Kylie told Forbes. Kylie outsources the manufacturing, packaging, sales, and fulfillment. Her mother, Kris, handles the finance and PR in exchange for the 10 percent management cut she takes from all her children.

Her sister Kim Kardashian, who propelled the family to fame with her sex tape with Ray-J before the whole family went on to score a reality TV show, congratulated Kylie with fire emojis earlier today and sharing the front cover. She takes to Instagram and Snapchat almost hourly posting pouting selfies about which shade of Kylie Cosmetics she's wearing, posts videos of upcoming products, and announces new launches.

Many more on Twitter took umbrage, with one pointing out that "calling kylie jenner a 'self-made billionaire" is like claiming you made soup from scratch because you opened a can and reheated it'. She's also only 20-years-old too.

The $532 billion beauty industry has always been driven by role models and influencers. Fast forward to a year or so later, and Kylie Cosmetics had raked in $430 million in just 19 months.

On Wednesday, Forbes released its August 2018 "America's Women Billionaires" issue with Jenner on the cover.
