New Halo game announced at E3 2018

The isometric hack-and-slash combat, puzzles, aesthetic, and overall tone of the game were impressive, and the little fox protagonist looks set to make a big splash on Xbox One.

Microsoft and Electronic Arts revealed they are working on their own game streaming services.

Microsoft showed off 52 video games at its press event, including 18 exclusives.

Battletoads is such an iconic franchise, and no we're getting a reboot that's sure to have retro game fans salivating.

Microsoft have been on the back foot with first party exclusives for a long time, but at E3 Phil Spencer made a big statement for the future of Xbox.

Starting with the trailer, which is an engine demo for the new Slipspace Engine powering the game, it definitely evokes the feeling of a large open world.

Sony's PlayStation 4 has overshadowed the Xbox for the majority of this console generation, but at E3, Microsoft has come out swinging. "We will have some new and unexpected directions to take folks in and I believe the way we achieve that is to build alongside our community, iterating and improving as we go". The game was developed in response to the rather popular Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise of the late 80s and early 90s.

Microsoft has officially announced Halo Infinite, and released its announcement trailer.

The biggest takeaway, however, was obviously Gears of War 5.

"With the ultimate freedom to explore and play over 100 great games, Xbox Game Pass delivers our members an incredible value in gaming". But for us fans of everything with four wheels, the biggest title revealed would have to be Forza Horizon 4 developed by United Kingdom -based Playground Games.

Away from the game announcement, Microsoft also looped to beef up their existing digital initiatives.
