Hollywood star Vince Vaughn has been arrested on suspicion of drink driving and resisting arrest in a southern California beach town. Authorities said Vaughn, along with a passenger, were detained at the checkpoint.
The actor was reportedly arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence. In addition to both being cited for resisting, delaying, or obstructing officers, the 48-year-old actor was also charged with a misdemeanor DUI. TMZ has reported that both men posted bail and have since been released.
According to TMZ, both Vaughn and the unidentified male passenger in his auto initially refused to get out of the vehicle at the checkpoint.
Vaughn is best known for his role in "Swingers", alongside Jon Favreau. CNN reports that Vaughn was stopped in Hermosa Beach outside of Los Angeles.
At this point, it's too early to tell if Vaughn and his passenger will be charged.
At the time, Vaughn was in the area shooting Domestic Disturbance and was arrested for assault in the incident, but the charges were later dropped. He starred in Mel Gibson's Hacksaw Ridge in 2016 and later teamed up with Gibson again for Dragged Across the Concrete.
Vaughn's representatives have not yet made a statement on the actor's DUI arrest.
