Brad Goreski Pays Tribute to Kate Spade After Her Death

Kate Spade's friends shocked by her death, Joe Zee says

Kate Spade, fashion designer, found dead in apparent suicide

The iconic designer was found dead Tuesday at her apartment on Park Avenue in NY at age 55.

Andy Spade said that his wife suffered from depression and anxiety for many years but there was "no indication and no warning that she would do this".

Another Instagram fan of Ivanka's wrote: "Very sad".

Late Tuesday, West shared a screenshot of an article about Spade's passing, adding a message of "love" for Spade and her family. She and her husband had sold their company for enough money to live a luxurious life.

The fashion world lost a bright designer in Kate Spade this week, and it's still reeling.

"She did not receive the proper care for what I believed to be (and tried numerous times to get her help for) bipolar disorder", Reta Brosnahan Saffo said in a statement issued to WNBC.

"We were freaked out/saddened", Saffo wrote in an email to the Kansas City Star, the newspaper serving Spade's hometown of Kansas City, Missouri. While investigators were still in the early stages of their inquiry, the department's chief of detectives, Dermot Shea, said evidence including a note pointed to "a tragic suicide".

Ivanka's touching tribute has another poignancy, with the 36-year-old revealing her own struggles with mental health last year.

She and her husband Andy built a fashion empire around her signature handbags. "For example, I love a good shoe and a good bag, and I know that she was largely influenced by my grandmother, her mother, June".

Coach bought the Kate Spade New York company in 2017 for $2.4 billion. Kemper said of Spade back in February 2016.

Designer Kate Spade was a style icon to fashion lovers, but to actors David Spade and Rachel Brosnahan, she was a beloved sister-in-law and aunt. "We are deeply heartbroken and miss her already", he said.

Mallis, the former CFDA director, noted that the stunning news of Spade's death came just the morning after virtually the entire NY fashion industry had gathered at the Brooklyn Museum for the glitzy annual CFDA awards.

Ms. Spade said she felt handbags at that time were too complicated, and there was a dearth of bags with clean, simple shapes. Prior to launching her fashion line, Spade spent five years at "Mademoiselle", a women's magazine, and eventually become a senior fashion editor and head of accessories. "And I just went 'What?'..."

"If you're as honest and fair as you can be, not only in business but in life, things will work out", she said at the time.

Spade also took to Twitter to post another picture of Kate supporting him at an event for the 2015 launch of his autobiography, Almost Interesting: The Memoir.
