Lalu Prasad Yadav gets 3-day parole to attend Tej Pratap Aishwarya wedding

No decision yet on Lalu Yadav's parole plea for son's wedding, says Jharkhand Police

(G.N.S) Dt. 11 Patna Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad got provisional bail on medical grounds for six weeks from the Jharkhand High Court.

As many as 50 horses, elephants, tribal percussionists and over 7,000 guests marked the much-hyped wedding of RJD chief Lalu Prasad's son Tej Pratap Yadav with former Bihar CM Daroga Prasad Rai's granddaughter Aishwarya Rai in Patna on Saturday.

Yesterday, the RJD supremos close confidant Bhola Yadav had claimed that Congress president Rahul Gandhi and his sister Priyanka Vadra were also scheduled to attend the wedding. Besides, a colourful procession was taken out by members of the Yaduvanshi Sena, a non-political organisation of the Yadav community. Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar also arrived at the wedding to wish the couple.

The Yadav family's joy has also doubled since Lalu Yadav got a three-day parole to attend his son's marriage.

In a video shared by Tejashwi on Twitter, the former deputy CM could be seen dancing with Tej Pratap.

Earlier, the marriage procession started from 10, Circular Road, the official residence of Rabri Devi and reached Patna Veterinary College, moving at a snail's pace. She is the daughter of RJD MLA Chandrika Rai.

As reported, the Jharkhand Advocate General and the Superintendent of Police (SP) gave a "no-objection" certificate to the former Chief Minister of Bihar so he could attend the wedding of his son.

The RJD chief has been serving jail terms here at the Birsa Munda Central Jail since December 23 a year ago after his convictions in three different fodder scam cases.

Tej Pratap Yadav, the oldest of the nine siblings, is now an first-time lawmaker and was a health ministry before last July, once Nitish Kumar dropped the RJD and formed a new government with the BJP.
