Burrow, of course, would certainly run into some competition at quarterback in the case that he was recruited and accepted an offer to play for Iowa State.

Timing is everything. We just wrote about all of this yesterday, and now we have our answer. Though on Monday, Dan Mullen stated that Florida was not interested in adding a graduate transfer quarterback "right now".

A destination for the kid out of Athens, Ohio is yet unknown, though we took a stab at some likely landing spots earlier. Burrow immediately became one of the most coveted players on the grad transfer market.

Burrow had the best spring game of the quarterbacks, finishing 15-for-22 (68 percent) for 238 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions. He said he would decide on a new school in the coming weeks. There were corners of the OSU universe which were calling for Haskins to start over J.T. Barrett during the 2017 season, though that did not ultimately come to pass. He broke his throwing hand just before the season past year, allowing Haskins to leap over him as the No. 2 quarterback. He also has two years of eligibility remaining. His father, Jimmy, is the longtime defensive coordinator at Ohio. "I didn't come here to sit on the bench for four years, and I know I'm a pretty darn good quarterback", he told reporters in Columbus. "I want to play somewhere".

Burrow redshirted in 2015 and appeared in 11 games as a reserve in the past two seasons, passing for 287 yards and two touchdowns. "I feel comfortable with three going into the season, when you get down to two you get a little nervous".
