"I can get out of bed and run fast", said Jackson, "and I don't think a lot of guys can say that". But for now, let's bask in the glow that are eight new Carolina Panthers. In those 37 games, Jackson broke up 20 passes, came down with 4 interceptions, made 114 tackles and tallied 4 tackles for loss and 1 forced fumble.

- The Carolina Panthers rounded out their 2018 draft class Saturday, picking up four more defenders and a tight end.

Jackson joins Bradberry, Kevon Seymour, Ross Cockrell, Corn Elder and Captain Munnerlyn in what is an extremely young secondary group - one thing that Jackson brings to the table is the swagger that may be lacking in what is a quieter group.

Also last season, Jackson showed off his versatility. The Panthers have two more picks to make - barring any trades - in the seventh round, the 234th and 242nd overall selections. That's just a major emphasis of my game. "He told me he thought (the Panthers) would eventually take me".

What he offers: After a terrific sophomore season (113 tackles, three pass breakups), he looked poised to become one of the top inside linebackers in the country.
