Jurgen Klopp delivers latest Mo Salah update for Liverpool FC fans

Everybody expects Mohamed Salah to bit fit for Man City v Liverpool – Jurgen Klopp

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp: 'I will take no risks on Mohamed Salah'

But the derby is the filling in the sandwich of Liverpool's Champions League quarter-final against Manchester City and, after the Reds' stunning 3-0 victory at Anfield on Wednesday, they head into today's match with more than half an eye on the second leg.

Liverpool's Egyptian worldwide then set-up Sadio Mane to head home a third goal as the Reds put one foot in the semi-finals of the Champions League with an impressive victory over the Premier League champions-elect.

"I was happy that we didn't have to use Conor because a first game (in) a Champions League game against Manchester City, that's not the start you wish for!"

But the manager sounded a cautious note ahead of the lunchtime kick-off at Goodison Park, stressing the importance of timing.

"So I'm not really over the moon at the moment, I'm really angry about a few people who make decisions in this league". So, we immediately took him off the pitch.

"If he's a doubt, he'll not be involved".

Jurgen Klopp says Liverpool are "trying everything" to get Mohamed Salah fit for Saturday's Premier League clash with rivals Everton, but he does not yet know if his 38-goal talisman will be available.

Before kickoff, Klopp told Sky Sports: "As always, [we were] in close talks with the medical department [to find out] who is 100 per cent".

"Nothing good without a little bit of bad since I'm here", lamented Klopp.

Real are said to be prepared to offer Salah a bumper contract worth €25m per season to lure him to La Liga. Afterwards, he said he feels good, "I will be fine".

"Of course, I want to show Zidane I can be counted on".
