Indian fast bowler Mohammad Shami, who on Wednesday denied all allegations levelled by his wife Hasin Jahan terming it "baseless", on Thursday addressed media after the latter's remarks that he can even "betray the nation".
"I have been trying to reach Hasin's family but have not been able to contact her". It's definitely a part of a big conspiracy against me.
After making all the above revelations, she also revealed in an interview given to DNA that once Mohammad Shami even wanted to commit suicide. I'm not going to divorce him till my last breath. "As far as allegation of compromising my performance playing for the country is concerned, I would rather die than do something like this", he told ANI.
Shami's wife had also alleged that the cricketer's brother and mother tried to kill her and the Indian pacer beat her after returning from South Africa.
"If this (the abuse) has been happening for five years then why did it come out now'". His wife, has also accused Shami and his family of torturing her and attempting to kill her. I want to remain just as normal as you've always seen me.
Shami, however, remained calm about the issue and said he'll discuss it with his in-laws.
She has made public a series of messages that Shami allegedly sent to women during their four-year marriage and accused the cricketer, whom she married in 2014, of domestic violence.
Jahan alleged that Shami had relations with many women in cities like Nagpur, Indore, Bangalore and Pune. He has been doing this for quite some time now and now I have had enough. The tortures continued till 2-3 am in the morning. "I have proof", Jahan told ABP News, as quoted by the Financial Express. "I can not tolerate this anymore and I have made a decision to take legal action with all the available evidence".
