The reason the Nokia 8110 was so advanced in its day was because of its curved, ergonomic shape, complete with a slider that pops down when a call is made or received.
The star of the show, however, is the brand-new Nokia 8 Sirocco.
Mobile phone maker Nokia unveiled five new smartphones at the Mobile World Congress 2018 in Barcelona, Spain, on Sunday. We love what we're seeing and we hope Nokia's comeback under HMD Global will keep bringing us better and better phones. The front camera is a 5MP Zeiss shooter, which is a huge drop from the 13MP in the Nokia 8. This is touted to be two and a half times as strong as aluminium, and it definitely gives this phone a slick look and feel. A revamp over the Nokia 8 released a year ago, this is HMD Global' s most impressive offering till date.
"As we've expanded our portfolio we've always maintained one vision: to deliver great Nokia phones that live up to the standards that our fans expect". The 95%of the front is covered with Gorilla Glass 5 making the device incredibly rigid. It's incredibly slick, but picks up smudges and fingerprints from the moment you first pick it up. While similar to the S8 in appearance, the new model has an upgraded camera created to improve shooting in lowlight conditions and in slow motion, and includes augmented reality features akin to Apple's iPhone X. The S9 has a 5.8-inch display, while the S9+ has a 6.2-inch display. It's the first phone from Nokia which will not be having a 3.5mm headphone jack and neither the memory of the phone could be extended using mirco SD card.
You get a pair of cameras on the rear developed in conjunction with Zeiss.
This phone will be going to be accompanied by a 13-megapixel telephoto lens capable which is providing the 2x optical zoom and features a f/2.6 aperture, and 1-micron pixels. The self-facing camera is a 5-MP unit, and the main rear camera configuration is the same dual-snapper setup from the 7 Plus. There's also the Pro Mode with manual control over multiple camera parameters high-end Nokia smartphones have become known for.
In terms of internals, the 8110 comes with a humble 512 MB of RAM and 4 GB of storage which may sound like peanuts in comparison to current Android flagships, but again, this is a feature phone.
Its connectivity options include 4G, VoLTE, 3G, GPRS/EDGE, Wi-Fi, GPS/AGPS, GLONASS, Wi-Fi Direct, WLAN, Bluetooth, USB OTG, and USB Type-C.
