Guwahati: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who on Thursday inaugurated the new Civil Secretariat complex and Dorjee Khandu State Convention Centre, said that the Centre wants to promote tourism in Arunachal Pradesh.
"I am delighted to visit Arunachal Pradesh and be among the wonderful people of this state", Mr Modi said in a Twitter post.
China routinely protest visits of Indian leaders to Arunachal Pradesh and reiterates its claims over it.
Prime Minister starting his visit to the Northeastern states, he will first visit the land of Dawn-lit mountains, Arunachal Pradesh.
He also said Modi should have spoken about burning issues concerning Arunachal, like the refugee problem, the interstate boundary issue, etc, which have been raised by the All Arunachal Pradesh Students' Union. Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh, Pema Khandu is also seen.
"What is the reason that Left government in Tripura is neither ensuring the minimum wages and nor implementing the recommendations of seventh pay commission?".
"The health sector needs special attention". We are working towards building medical colleges in all parts of the country.
The BJP is putting all its efforts to unseat the Left government in the state.
Exhorting the people of the state to oust the CPI (M) government from power, the Prime Minister said, "They (CPI-M ) will have to answer about all their wrongdoings in the last 25 years".
Modi will later travel to Tripura where he is expected to address two rallies ahead of the February 18 Assembly election.
Three days before the BJP faces the CPI (M) in its bastion of Tripura in a tightly-contested electoral wrestle, PM Narendra Modi held two rallies in the state, urging the gathering of hundreds that came out to listen to him to show a red light to the Reds.
While addressing masses at a public reception organized in honour of Prime Minister Khandu said.
Now, his present Arunachal visit has brought huge expectations among the people of the state, he said.
