Meanwhile, Asus is also reportedly gearing up to launch ZenFone 5 series smartphones, the successors of ZenFone 4.

A few days ago, Nokia and Samsung have already confirmed that they will launch their flagship smartphones next month during MWC 2018.

The Taiwanese tech giant has reportedly sent the media invites for its conference at MWC 2018.

The ZE552KL is larger, at 5.5 inches, naturally packing a heftier 3000 mAh battery, while the ZE520KL settles for a 5.2-inch display and 2600 mAh cell. Furthermore, Both the devices could run on the Snapdragon processor.

Although the invitation for the press event does not reveal a lot of details, the #backtobuzz5, Qualcomm Snapdragon, and Zenfone logos suggest that this is all about the new Zenfone 5 smartphone, or possibly the entire Zenfone 5 series.

The MWC 2018 keynote by Asus at 7:30pm CET on February 27 (12am IST, February 28). It will be live-streamed on the company's social channels and official website.

Nothing significant about Asus ZenFone 5 Lite has been leaked, but Mobiltelefon (in Russian) has reported that it has been certified in Russia, giving a hint that its release date may not be far off.

It was just yesterday when the Asus ZenFone 5 Max carrying the model number ASUS_X00QD received Wi-Fi certification from the Wi-Fi Alliance (WFA). It is expected to come running the Android 8.0 Oreo operating system and have several feature upgrades over its predecessor Zenfone 4 Max.
