Coutinho has always been linked with a move to Barcelona, and was the subject of three failed bids from the Catalan side in the summer.
The Nike UK website wrote about the soccer wizard in a description for the headline: "Where the magic happens".
However, it seems that a deal between the clubs for Coutinho has been agreed after last night Nike mistakenly announced the transfer on the Barcelona section of their website.
Barcelona bid three times for Coutinho over the summer but were rebuffed by Liverpool
Coutinho has always been linked with a move to Barcelona, with Spanish newspapers reporting this weekend that the 25-year-old has been searching for a place to live in the city. Anything might be possible, but as far as they know it the situation remains unchanged and they don't expect a Coutinho deal to be done in January.
Last summer, Liverpool fans were forced to sit through one of the most protracted transfer sagas of all time as Barcelona mounted a ceaseless campaign to secure the services of Philippe Coutinho.
Some reports suggest Coutinho would not move to Spain until the end of the season, but Nike's post hints that a transfer may be just around the corner. The Reds will sign Virgil van Dijk for £75 million when the window officially opens. Man City are favourite at $5, with Man United listed at $6.50.
