OnePlus 5T Now Available For Pre-Order in Malaysia: Starts At RM 2449

OnePlus is displaying the device from the back, which is where the entire story lies.

We published a hands-on of the OnePlus 5T Star Wars Edition earlier on Thursday, and found it worthy of discerning Star Wars fans and OnePlus fans alike - plus customers who want a unique smartphone design.

On the front you get the same 18:9 aspect ratio, 6.01-inch Full HD+ (2160x1080 pixels) Optic AMOLED display that fits into the thinner bezels just like on the OnePlus 5T. The alert slider is bright red, while the SIM tray, volume rocker and power button are black. On the back is a completely white coloured sandstone finish, with the Star Wars branding on it. No, it is not a different phone than the 5T as far as the innards are concerned, but then again, it didn't need to be. It's anything but that.

The OnePlus 5T Star Wars Edition has a Sandstone white finish on the rear which is how it is placed inside the box, surrounded by the dark side.

OnePlus 5T Star Wars Edition officially announced, the phone will be available from 15th December via Amazon and OnePlus experience stores.

Look ma! No antenna bands! The OnePlus 5T Star Wars Limited Edition is THE phone to have if you're a fan of the franchise. It covers up the antenna bands, that seem to be present on nearly every flagship we have these days including the OnePlus 5T. We felt it to be slightly pinkish. It offers a good in-hand feel, unlike the metal body on the standard 5T. Oh, and that wonderful Star Wars theme.

As for the rest of the innards, they remain the same.

Powered by a Snapdragon 835 processor, the OnePlus 5T Star Wars Limited Edition smartphone is equipped with 8GB RAM coupled with 128GB expandable internal storage. The dual camera combines two highly-capable 16MP and 20MP sensors with f/1.7 aperture for all those handsome low-light photos and portraits.

The phone has dual camera setup. It has 4G VoLTE, USB 2.0, Type-C, Bluetooth 5.0 ( supports aptX & aptX HD), WiFi and Global Positioning System connectivity option. There's also a headphone jack, as The Empire still can not do without it.

Still, you can get these wallpapers, which is something. However, if you are a huge Star Wars fan like I am, there sure is a lot to love here. The differences are subtle and entirely aesthetic, but these simple touches make the device that much more attractive, especially if you're a fan of the Star Wars film series.
