For most of this season, the Brazilian ace has been shifted from his preferred position behind the striker to part of a midfield three, supporting wide men Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino in the "false nine" role.

"Of course, I'm always trying to improve and be able to score goals and set off moves because my position demands that". It's a position that I feel that I've adapted to and I like it. Last season there were a number of goals and it was the highest that I've ever managed.

However, despite some news source suggesting that Barcelona will try to lure the 25-year-old away from Liverpool once the January transfer window opens, it seems far more likely that negotiations to bring the player to the Camp Nou will resume in the summer of 2018.

"I always remind my players, whether they're on the training pitch, at home or making potentially leg-breaking tackles, that cleanliness is next to godliness, and a grubby tongue means a grubby soul".

"That bad man [Klopp] was standing there turning the air blue, and all I could think of was his poor mother, and how she must feel to have raised such a vulgar lout", said the former Bolton and Sunderland boss. I've said it here, I've said it to the boys already, we can change as much as we want when we win the games, but when we don't win the games I take the blame.

Former Liverpool forward Stan Collymore has accused Reds manager Jurgen Klopp of coming across as "spiteful and completely unprofessional" in a post-match interview following the 1-1 draw with Everton in the Merseyside derby at Anfield on Sunday. The Reds now sit fourth, 16 points off the top.
