OnePlus 5T Star Wars edition announced, may go on sale this month

Barely two weeks after the launch of company's flagship, the OnePlus 5T, the Chinese smartphone brand is set to launch the Star Wars Limited Edition variant of the phone in India. During the special one-hour preview sale on Amazon last month, the company said the OnePlus 5T sold out within five minutes. If yes, the Comic Con Bangalore event has something interesting for you. Last weekend, at the comic event in Bengaluru, OnePlus had an unbelievable announcement for both OnePlus and Star Wars fans. A Star Wars theme appears to be on offer, which should offer a little more from a galaxy far, far away on the phone's software side.

Were you disappointed when the Lava Red OnePlus 5T turned out to be just another color version and not the rumored Star Wars edition? The OnePlus 5T Star Wars Limited Edition will be making its debut in India on December 14, one day before the theatrical release of The Last Jedi. "OnePlus and Star Wars fans can be a part of the launch event in Mumbai by booking the tickets for Rs 999 only on Paytm, starting 7th Dec from 10 am onwards", says the company's statement. Star Wars: The Last Jedi movie is due for release in India in the second week of December. There's also a red alert slider button - a neat little detail. The volume keys also have a black paint finish which makes the variant look distinct from the base variant of the OnePlus 5T.

OnePlus has strongly pushed its special edition devices in the past. Soon after, OnePlus released a Midnight Black limited run of the OnePlus 3T. Moreover, there is no information on if this special edition will be exclusive to India or whether it will made available in other countries as well.

OnePlus has announced a new version of its OnePlus 5T phone.

In terms of specifications, the OnePlus 5T features a 6.0-inch FHD+ Optic AMOLED display panel with 18:9 aspect ratio and 1,080 x 2,160 resolution updating the screen to match the near bezel-less design that has gripped the smartphone industry in 2017.
