Chinese telecom giant Huawei's sub-brand Honor is all set to globally launch View 10 smartphone on January 8 next year including in India for 499 euros, the company's Global President George Zhao revealed here on Tuesday. The smartphone, which delivers full-screen viewing experience, will retail at AED 999.
As a refresher, Honor's new flagship sports a 5.99-inch LCD "FullView" display with an 18:9 aspect ratio and 1,080 x 2,160 resolution. There are dual rear cameras (16MP +2MP) with PDAF and portrait mode an 8MP front facing camera also with portrait mode, beauty mode, and amusing filters. Honor 7X is powered by Kirin 659 CPU and 4GB of RAM. So, what do you think about the Honor 7x?
Honor 7X will be available in markets around the world starting on December 5th, 2017 for around $200 Dollars. At the front of the phone, we get an 8MP selfie camera.
The Honor View 10 is a bezel-less smartphone powered by Huawei's futuristic Kirin 970 chipset which comes with a dedicated Neural Processing Unit built-in which powers complex artificial intelligence features such as advanced scene detection and voice recognition.
The new Honor 7X was launched in a major event in London at a price of Rs 12,999 for the 32 GB variant and Rs 15,999 for the 64 GB variant.
Honor 7X and View 10: Specs, Price, and Availability Details
The Honor View 10 runs on Android 8.0 Oreo with the company's EMUI 8.0 skinned on top. The back is brushed metal, and the side walls rounded like the Honor 7X and 8 Pro. And in terms of connectivity, it has a USB Type-C port, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.2, 4G VoLTE, and NFC.
The exact India price, however, will be announced later.
The UK price of the Honor View 10 is £449, making it the same as the base OnePlus 5T, and £70 more than the Honor 9 retailed for at launch. Although China now makes up 85 per cent of Honor's global revenues, Zhao said that the aim is to shift this over the next five years so that by 2022, 60 per cent of revenue will come from outside of China.
The Honor 7X is backed by a 3340mAh battery with no fast charge support. It will also feature a 13MP front-facing camera.
One nice touch is the arrival of "Supercharge", which will charge the battery to 50 per cent in 30 minutes. It will be available Navy Blue & Midnight Black color options. The set price is Euro 499.9 /449.99 GBP for those, which in the United States would likely translate to $499, placing it in a direct clash with the OnePlus 5T.
