Capcom Announces 'Mega Man 11,' Coming Late 2018

Mega Man 11 is Coming to PC, Switch, Xbox One, and PS4 in 2018

Mega Man X Collection and Mega Man 11 Announced

Capcom on Monday during its 30 anniversary celebration for Mega Man revealed a brand new game in the franchise.

Mega Man 11 ditches the classic retro sprites of previous games for a blend of hand-painted backgrounds and 3D character models.

Other than the Switch ports and Mega Man 11 - the first new game in the series since 2010 - Capcom also announced that it has a collection of all eight Mega Man X titles in the works.

Furthermore, the entirety of the Mega Man X collection of games will be available in one complete package for PC, PS4, Switch, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC in the summer of 2018 as well. That being said, Mega Man's walking animation is a bit off and his voice is surprisingly deep, which might have been done to address his feminine voice from Mega Man 8.

Mega Man 11 is - as the name suggests - the 11th main installment in the now-30-year-old Mega Man franchise. First, Mega Man 11 was revealed and looks awesome. Wily as the evil scientist produces berserk machines, as well as, Robot Masters, which Mega Man must defeat in order to take their weapons. It's unclear when they'll hit the console but it should be before Mega Man 11 releases. It's a style that's likely to be divisive among fans, but you can form your own opinions by watching its announcement trailer above.

What do you think of the Mega Max X Series? These games will now include a Rewind feature that will allow players to go back and correct past mistakes.

This feature will also roll out to existing owners of the game on PlayStation 4 system, Xbox One, and PC.

Capcom will have more news on its upcoming projects, including Mega Man 11, throughout 2018.
