According to The Bowling Green Daily News, Boucher lives in the same gated community as Paul.

A man has been arrested and charged with assaulting and injuring U.S. Sen.

Paul has been Kentucky's junior senator since 2011. It was not immediately clear how they knew each other. Boucher could be in court as early as Monday if he doesn't post bail, otherwise, he will be in court on November 9, a Warren County correctional officer told ABC News.

Investigations into the reasoning behind Paul's assault are still underway.
