Saturday will nearly certainly come too soon for Brazilian play-maker Philippe Coutinho as he continues to work through an adductor injury and it looks like he'll be joined in the stands by Georginio Wijnaldum after he picked up an ankle injury in the win over the Slovenian champions.
Mané has been sidelined for four weeks with a hamstring injury suffered during the last worldwide week and had not been scheduled to return for Liverpool for another fortnight.
"We will see how he reacts".
"It was pretty intense for him as it was his first football session for a long time but he did really well".
Many thought he would be back after the global break, particularly given past comments made by Klopp.
But he would like Mane to be rested for the second match if Senegal secure their place at Russian Federation 2018 with victory over Bafana Bafana on November 10.
"We missed three and then after Gini went off, four of maybe the most creative players in the league", said Klopp. "We are trying to get in contact with the Senegal FA". It is not right and not nice. That's the same for Senegal.
"They have shown what they are capable of on their day, and that's what we've got to prepare for". There are clear rules and we respect them.
"This promises to be a terrific game under the London Stadium lights and I think Liverpool can follow up their 4-0 win from the corresponding game last season although the scoreline on that occasion flattered the Reds", Owen told BetVictor.
"The games are on different pitches but the intensity is similar".
