Nyong'o accused Weinstein of several incidents of harassment in an op-ed piece published by The New York Times on Thursday, including a 2011 incident in which she said the mogul tried to give her a massage at his CT home.

Meryl Streep, Jennifer Lawrence, George Clooney and Emma Thompson have all condemned his behaviour, while actresses like Gwyneth Paltrow, Angelina Jolie and Cara Delevingne have also come forth with their own disturbing stories of sexual harassment by Weinstein.

Sallie Hofmeister, a representative for Weinstein, said in a statement that Weinstein can't speak to anonymous allegations. She says that Weinstein raped her in the bathroom of her hotel room near Beverly Hills in February 2013 after she attended an Italian film, fashion and art festival in Los Angeles. A female producer friend cautioned her to "keep Harvey in your corner". Lupita claims several months later, she was invited by Weinstein to join him at his family home in CT for a screening of a film. He ordered a vodka and a diet soda and after ordering a juice, he was adamant that she would drink the same. When she asked if they were good, he replied: "I don't know about your career, but you'll be fine", he said. Nyong'o alleges that 15 minutes into the film, Weinstein told her he wanted to "show [her] something", and then he led her into his bedroom where he told her he wanted to give her a massage.

"I think we are at a watershed moment, this is a sea change". "I felt so powerless", she tearfully recalled. She reportedly declined, instead offering to meet him downstairs at another time, but before long he was knocking on her door.

The filmmaker reveals Sorvino told him about Weinstein's unwanted advances, admitting he was aware that his Grindhouse leading lady Rose McGowan had reached a legal settlement with Weinstein following allegations he had been inappropriate with her.

"Let's cut to the chase".

Allred already represents former screenwriter and actress Louisette Geiss, who appeared with her at a press conference last week to allege that Weinstein masturbated in front of her in a bathtub without her consent in 2008.

Weinsten then told the actress that he wanted to remove his trousers, which Nyong'o responded would be inappropriate. "I have a private room upstairs where we can have the rest of our meal".

He continued: "If Hollywood and the entertainment industry was the only place where sexual harassment occurred, I would say yes (I am complicit in that), but you and I know that that's not the case; it's built into the rules of society".

Speaking to The New York Times in an interview published Thursday, Tarantino expressed remorse for not having taken responsibility at the time.

Bialik wrote in the piece published Friday that she makes choices to be "self-protecting and wise", like dressing modestly and not acting flirtatiously. "But I made a quiet promise to myself to never ever work with Harvey Weinstein".

Since then, she said, she hasn't encountered treatment like that from anyone else. If I wanted to be an actress, then I had to be willing to do this sort of thing. "I was entering into a business where the intimate is often professional and so the lines are blurred". "You have no idea what you are passing up", he said.

"Though we may have endured powerlessness at the hands of Harvey Weinstein, by speaking up, speaking out and speaking together, we regain that power", she concludes.
