Sore loser sucker punches fan after Panthers-Eagles game

Panthers' Luke Kuechly in concussion protocol for third time in three years

How many concussions has Luke Kuechly suffered in his career?

A video posted to social media from Thursday night's Carolina Panthers game against the Philadelphia Eagles is gaining national attention.

Kuechly took a shot to his collarbone and the side of his head from an Eagles guard late in second quarter. David Mayo took over for him in the middle and would continue to do so if Kuechly can't go next week. The Panthers linebacker missed the final six games of the 2016 season after suffering a concussion in Week 10 past year. He's projected for 107.4 tackles, 3.7 pass defenses and 1.1 sacks over the rest of the 2017 season.

This season, Kuechly has 29 tackles and one interception for a Panthers defense that came into Thursday's game third in the National Football League in total defense.

Not long after the second half had gotten underway, the announcement came that, yes, Kuechly had indeed suffered another concussion and was in the protocol.

The Panthers announced that he will not be returning, and that he is in concussion protocol.

If Kuechly misses any substantial time, that would be a devastating loss for the Panthers. The next closest player on the Panthers' roster only had 26.
