The local authorities in Las Vegas have said that the mass shooting of around 600 people, which killed 59, was premeditated and pre-planned.

Clemente said a "psychological autopsy" may be necessary to try to establish the motive for the attack. The attack left more than 500 people injured.

Paddock wired $100,000 to the Philippines days before the shooting, said a US official who was not authorized to speak publicly because of the continuing investigation.

Almost two dozen guns were recovered in Las Vegas shooter Stephen Paddock's hotel room and officials said they also found a pair of bump stocks.

Officers recovered 19 firearms, explosives and ammo from Stephen Paddock's home in Mesquite, Nevada, hours after discovering 23 guns in the Las Vegas hotel room from which he killed at least 59 concertgoers. Authorities say he set up cameras in the peephole of the door and outside the room to watch for police closing in on him.

Police said they're investigating the source of the leaked photos.

"This replacement shoulder stock turns a semi-automatic rifle into a weapon that can fire at a rate of 400 to 800 rounds per minute", she said.

Marilou Danley issued the statement after returning from her native Philippines and being questioned for much of the day by Federal Bureau of Investigation agents.

"I was grateful, but anxious", Danley said, adding that she thought the flight to the Philippines and the money was his way of breaking up with her.

Authorities in the USA, the Philippines and Australia were involved in the search for Danley, who travels on an Australian passport, CNN reported.

Marilou Danley, the girlfriend of the gunman behind the Las Vegas shooting, said in a statement that she was not aware that "something terrible like this was going to happen".

Marilou Danley flew out of Manila's global airport on Tuesday night for Los Angeles, immigration bureau spokeswoman Maria Antoinette Mangrobang told AFP.

Asked about gun laws, the president said "we'll be talking about gun laws as time goes by".

FBI agents investigating the Las Vegas mass shooting met Ms Danley when she arrived back in America on Wednesday afternoon (AEST).

A Philippines immigration spokeswoman said Danley arrived in the Philippines on September 25 on a flight from Hong Kong.

Paddock wasn't able to move into the room until Saturday, said the person, who was not authorized to speak publicly and disclosed the information to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity.

Marilou Danley is being sought for questioning re the investigation into the active shooter incident.

As for what motivated the actions of his brother, Eric Paddock said he and his family are "still just completely befuddled". She was originally labeled a "person of interest".

The hail of gunfire stopped when security guards approached Paddock's room at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino, McMahill said.
