In tune with the Modi government's encouragement for digital payments, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley on Monday launched Google's mobile wallet and payments app "Tez", specifically designed for India. This enables people to pay another Tez user nearby without having to share bank account details or phone number.
Google's Tez app developed for UPI-based digital payments in India just went official today. If the friend has not linked their bank account to Tez yet, Google does highlight that when you are making a payment or asking for money. The payment app also supports various local languages including Hindi, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Marathi, Tamil and Telugu.
After being rumoured for months, Google launched Tez, its UPI-based mobile payment app in India. Tez apk is now available to download from Google Play Store and Apple App Store for Android and iOS (iPhone, iPad) respectively.

In a day, users can perform up to 20 transfers on Google Tez with a maximum transaction limit of Rs. 1,00,000. PayTM on the other hand requires users to store money in the app and replace the amounts once spent. Another very interesting feature that Google has embedded into this app is "Tez Cash Mode". Unified Payments Interface, which enables the service compatible with all the major banks. After sending a text message from the option available on the application via the registered phone number, the user will be asked to enter UPI PIN. It could charge a fee to some of the above mentioned partners to offer extra features like some promotional offers. If that person is with you, then simply scanning the QR code and utilizing the Cash Mode will make the payment. Google's new app supports nearly all Indian banks, like State Bank of India, ICICI, HDFC, Axis, and more. Google is also working with payment aggregators such as BillDesk and PayU to bring more businesses onto the Tez platform.
Note - If you have a smartphone with unlocked bootloader or a custom ROM, the app might not work and will show that the software the phone is running on is not secure.При любом использовании материалов сайта и дочерних проектов, гиперссылка на обязательна.
