Nadine Coyle has revealed the reason behind Girls Aloud's long-lasting feud - as well as discussing the chances of the girlband ever reforming.

"She called to tell me she was doing it and my immediate thing was, 'Don't". It gives you the energy that you need!

She admitted: "I don't think he liked the girls from the start".

She revealed that when Sarah asked why, Nadine said: "Stop this immediately".

She explained: "When you're constantly writing you write a lot about relationships and so it was like "what else annoys you about being in relationships?' and they came up with this idea of writing about them being lazy and not getting up in the mornings". Yeah, you'd just go, 'We'd do it'". It's the truth. She's saying that we broke the band up.

"To see someone very vulnerable and not in the best of shape and Big Brother can do that to someone - make them even worse. I'm going to Spain, come", Coyle told the British paper on Thursday (September 7th).

With Nicola Roberts making barbed comments over Sarah Harding's appearance on Celebrity Big Brother to Sarah's suggestion that Cheryl knows how to play the press and public, fans of the band are only dying to get an insight into what really went on behind the scenes.

She said: "It's so sad for me to have to admit this stuff now because for so long, there's the band, and you want everybody to think we're best friends and we have pillow fights and, you know, drink milkshakes".

The mum-of-one - who has just released her new solo single Go To Work - said: 'I really, really wanted that to be, but it just wasn't how it was.

Rumours have always circulated about a split in the band, this was further enforced at Kimberley Walsh's Hen party early previous year when only Nicola and Cheryl attended.

'So yeah there was [a divide].

She said at the time: "Inside info on Sarah, she is a very natural being. We're all very different characters".

When Sarah later confided in her former bandmate that she had signed up, Nadine had one piece of advice, which it's fair to say she didn't exactly stick to.

" I'm up at, like, 6am... so I need a night out with her once there's a day off".

And Paul added: "Liam so wanted me to win".
