The ceremony was held on Saturday at Old Whaling Church in Martha's Vineyard, in the U.S. state of MA, reports People.

Washington D.C. [USA], Sep 04: Taylor Swift recently turned bridesmaid for her longtime best friend Abigail Anderson and she looked handsome. In the song, Swift croons about how she met her best friend named Abigail.

Swift wore a deep burgundy, floor-length gown; her hair was curled into loose ringlets and she carried a bouquet of fall-colored pinks.

It looks like both their tears have dried since high school, with Anderson finding an ever-lasting love to call her own... and maybe Taylor too, if fan theories surrounding her newest hit are to be believed?

While the big day certainly belong to the couple, Swift's security asked onlookers "not to rush her", said one local outside the church.

TMZ reports a small group of fans gathered to catch a glimpse of Swift at Martha's Vineyard, but they booed her when she didn't stop to chat.

Anderson announced her engagement in June 2016 with an Instagram post of herself and fiancé Matt Lucier kissing while showing off her ring.

The Vineyard visit wasn't all Swift did over the holiday weekend.

Swift will release her sixth studio album, "Reputation", on November 10.
