Apple and Accenture partner to create iOS Business Solutions.
A dedicated iOS practice will be created within Accenture Digital Studios in specific locations around the world, each of which will home Apple experts working alongside experts from Accenture.
Apple said that members of its own staff - including designers, programmers and data scientists - will be co-located with the Accenture iOS teams.
Apple wants to help retailers take their enterprise mobility strategies to the next level.
In a move created to threaten Microsoft's long-held dominance of the operating system market, the combined entity will launch a new set of tools and services capable of helping enterprise better utilise iPhone and iPad capabilities. The initial focus for Apple and Accenture will revolve around how companies engage with customers and digital transformation.
Accenture will also help customers migrate from legacy applications onto more modern iOS software. Apple formally launched that mission in late 2014 when it unveiled a partnership with IBM to develop iOS-based mobile apps for nine key industries, including banking, healthcare, insurance, and retail.
Maestri added that Apple's enterprise technology partners are also continuing to add new tools and services built on iOS, including SuccessFactors Mobile, SAP's first-ever native iOS app for human resources.
"By combining Accenture's vast digital capabilities and industry expertise with Apple's market leadership in creating products that delight customers, we are in a flawless position to help our clients transform the way they work", said Pierre Nanterme, Accenture's chairman and CEO.
