As the name suggests, this is the mobile version of Final Fantasy XV.
While at this year's Gamescom, Final Fantasy XV Producer Hajime Tabata was talking about different versions of the game - for example, me mentioned the Windows version, and also the pocket version.
Another announcement was Final Fantasy XV Pocket Edition which is something we're not entirely sure anyone was asking for.
Hajime Tabata was asked about bringing Final Fantasy XV to additional platforms, and to which he replied that the development team is very interested in a console that sounds similar to Twitch as part of bringing FFXV to all audiences.
What wasn't announced was a Nintendo Switch version but it was strongly hinted at.
All 10 episodes will be available from Day 1 and the first episode will be available for free when Final Fantasy XV: Pocket Edition releases later this year.
It's inevitable anymore that when any new title is announced, one of the first questions is, "Is it coming to the Switch?"
The trailer - which you can see above - showcases a selection of scenes from the original game, in new adorable chibi form.
We're not suggesting the Pocket Edition should come to the Switch but we wouldn't be completely shocked if that's what came to the console. There would certainly be some challenges considering the limitations of the console's hardware, but you never know what might happen.
Alright, well, as near as I can figure, Square Enix said something about Final Fantasy XV and Nintendo Switch today at Gamescom.
