Four sources outside of the text message recipients confirmed to the online news outlet that they had seen the photo, while eight others said the recipients had spoken to them about it and said they were upset and offended by it. The messages were sent several years ago, on separate occasions.
Mr. Bolling, a former commodities trader turned conservative pundit, briefly worked at CNBC before joining the Fox Business Network as a financial analyst in 2007. A Fox spokesperson told Heavy.com, "Eric Bolling has been suspended pending the results of an investigation, which is now underway".
Roger Ailes, who died in May at the age of 77, resigned from his post as head of Fox News amid accusations of sexual harrassment. On The Five in 2014, during a discussion about the first woman fighter pilot from the United Arab Emirates, Bolling asked whether it was more appropriate to say "boobs on the ground" instead of "boots on the ground". That suit was settled out of court - but prompted a flurry of new allegations against Ailes. Earlier this year he was pulled off his former show, "The Five", when it moved to primetime because network executives wanted a familiar face in the 5 p.m. ET time slot.
Eric Bolling arrives at Trump Tower on November 16, 2016 in New York City. He is an avid defender of President Donald Trump and has frequently drawn praise from the president.
Rotating substitute hosts will fill on for Bolling on The Specialists on weekdays and Cashin In' on Saturdays.
According to the Huffington Post, Bolling was also caught making misogynistic comments on air.
Fox News recently renewed Bolling's contract.
Bolling is just the latest Fox News personality caught up in sexual misconduct allegations.
