Video showed Gallinari throwing a punch and striking an opponent in the head Sunday as the Italians played an exhibition game against the Netherlands for the upcoming tournament.
After pushing Kok and then trying to put him in a headlock, Gallinari got even more heated and threw a right handed haymaker than landed right on Kok's left cheek.
As if getting into a fight in a friendly wasn't too over the top, a hospital visit was also needed because of the punch.
However, most fans only read the "fracture" and "hand" part of that tweet and assumed that Gallinari had fractured his hand and would miss extended time.
He signed a three-year, $63 million contract with the Clippers earlier this offseason. According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, Gallinari injured his right thumb on the blow but should be ready for the start of training camp. The broken hand is a little ironic, since Clippers teammate Blake Griffin missed time last season for punching a team trainer.
