Actor Shia LaBeouf arrested in Georgia for public drunkenness

Shia La Beouf released from prison on a $7,000 bond

Arrested for Disorderly Conduct Public Drunkenness

This time, Shia LaBeouf was picked up by police in Georgia for a litany of misdemeanors stemming from allegedly being drunk in public.

Shia LaBeouf was arrested early Saturday morning in Savannah, GA for public drunkenness, disorderly conduct, and obstruction, all because of a failed attempt to bum a cigarette.

The Transformers star had been in Savannah filming his latest movie, "The Peanut Butter Falcon", which co-stars Dakota Johnson.

LaBeouf, 31, is reportedly still in custody. According to witnesses, Shia was seen urinating into the ocean on Georgia's Tybee Island.

In 2011, LaBeouf was taken into police custody after an altercation with another patron at a bar in Sherman Oaks, California that ended with him being punched in the face.

LaBeouf's bond is $7,000.

Before his arrest, police said that LaBeouf approached a bystander and an officer to ask for a cigarette. He was unsuccessful, something that apparently infuriated the actor. The report on TMZ further mentioned that Shia was released at 11 am.

He was told to leave the area but refused and became aggressive toward the officer, police said. LaBeouf was charged with DUI in 2008.

They added that when the officer tried to apprehend LaBeouf, he ran into a hotel and was arrested in the lobby, where he continued to behave in a disorderly manner. This is not the first time that the actor was arrested on charges of being drunk in public. In 2014, he pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct after behaving in a truly freaky manner at a Broadway performance. Details of his arrest have yet to be revealed and his reps aren't responding to requests for comment.
