A plane ended up on its top after it ran off the runway in Dayton, Ohio this afternoon.

The Dayton Air Show is set to take place this weekend but has already seen a scary crash occur at Dayton International Airport.

The Wright Patterson Air Force Base said its firefighters responded alongside the airport's fire and rescue team.

The United States Air Force Thunderbirds were conducting a single-ship familiarization flight on Friday June 23, 2017. Reed said there was no immediate report of any injuries or fuel leaks. Upon landing there was a mishap at Dayton International Airport with an F-16D Fighting Falcon at approximately 12:20pm.

'Emergency services are on the scene.

Their conditions were not known and it was not immediately clear what caused the incident, according to NBC affiliate WDTN.

A military plane that was practicing for an air show in heavy fog has crashed at an airport in OH, officials said Friday. Authorities say one of the pilots has been extricated from the plane.

In 2013, a stunt performer and pilot were killed during the air show when their aircraft crashed during a public demonstration.
